President's Message

On behalf of the members of Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter (FAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our official website. I consider it an honor and a privilege to greet you in this manner as the Chapter President of this illustrious body.
The vision of eleven charismatic members resulted in the chartering of Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter, September 12, 1953. They envisioned a chapter that would be able to provide assistance and support through established Delta programs and community service projects to an underserved population here in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
We are a dynamic sisterhood comprised of motivated women who are dedicated and committed to the mission and vision of our sorority's twenty-two founders. They wanted to use their collective strengths to promote "Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service." The major programs of the sorority are based on the organization's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
-
Economic Development
-
Educational Development
-
International Awareness Involvement
-
Physical and Mental Health
-
Political Awareness and Involvement
Since the inception of FAC, its programs and community service projects have mirrored those of our Grand Chapter. Our aim is to continue to work tirelessly to develop and implement a wide range of programs and initiatives that will help empower our communities, as we uphold the mission of our sorority. We are steadfast and devoted to the ideals and principles of our beloved sisterhood, founded over one hundred years
ago with a strong commitment to continue with the work of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Thank you for your interest in our website. You are cordially invited to visit us again as we continue to strive to conduct the business of our beloved sisterhood.
Warmest regards,
Sylvia C. McPherson
President, Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter
